Push Back Racking System

Push back racking is a first-in-last-out (FILO) storage system designed for unitary palletized goods.

About

Push back racking system is a high-density storage system, it can make the most use of the warehouse spaces, so it saves space. In the same area, push-back racks can store many more goods compared with conventional pallet racks. Push back racking system doesn’t need a forklift to go into the racking lanes, so enhances the safety factor for the forklift operator.

How It Works

  • A push back pallet rack system is a gravity flow racking system that stores pallets on wheeled carts nesting on inclined storage rails.
  • When pallets are loaded or unloaded from the system, they require a cart that moves up and down angled rails.
  • When a product is loaded into the system, a pallet is placed on a cart and pushed back one position at the pick face.
  • The next cart becomes available with the last pallet resting on the rails. A push back pallet rack system can help you save cost and space.
  • Pushback systems store pallets on wheeled carts that rest in rails, utilizing the force of gravity
  • Tilted towards the unloading end of the rack, this enables the forklift operator to load pallets onto the carts, and push them back as the next pallet is loaded
  • The pallet that was behind will now be at the pick face.
